Summer Camps Since 1953

Strong Biblical Teaching

Adventurous Recreation

Strong Community

The Truett Tradition

Truett has been operating since 1953 as a summer camp. The foundation of camp has remained the same since then: Biblical truth, opportunities for fun, and strong community. With a new leadership team starting in 2019, Truett has built upon this foundation by adding many exciting recreation options, friendly and well-trained staff, and an emphasis on being in God’s creation. We have also recommitted to connecting young people to God through His Word.

We have a great location in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’re located only two hours from Atlanta, Asheville, Chattanooga, and more! This gives us a great environment for recreation and connecting with God through His creation.

No matter which camp you choose, campers will get a chance to make more friends, experience new activities, grow closer to the King of Kings, and unplug from technology. These attributes all make camp an absolute blast!

At Truett it’s about more than just fun; it’s character building. Meal times, recreation, Bible study and worship are all done with a greater purpose in mind: to foster today’s youth in a way that they become stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually. Dozens of lives are changed every summer!

Types of Camps We Offer

Individual Camps (Girls Camp, Boys Camp, & Mini Camp): Sign up for these camps as an individual, and encourage your friends to come too! These camps have a great mix of recreation, Bible-based teaching, and bonding with friends new and old. Girls Camp & Boys Camp are 5 days/4 nights. Mini-Camp incorporates much of the same experience over 3 days/2 nights, which is perfect for a busy summer schedule as well as first-time and experienced campers alike.

Youth Camps (Youth Group Camp & Deep Impact Kids Camp): With our co-ed youth camps, we seek to make life easier for youth group leaders to give their church’s students an amazing summer camp experience. We handle all the logistics except transportation and finding chaperones. You’ll be amazed at the growth from a week of doing service projects in the morning, great bonding during afternoon recreation and games, and evenings focused on learning from the Word of God.

Grandparent Camp: Campers from ages 6 to 12 come with at least one grandparent for a few days to make memories that will last a lifetime. This is a great opportunity to bond, have fun, and allow grandparents to invest spiritually into their grandkids. Housing for this event is in our Conference Center.

Amazing Recreation

This is some of the great recreation available at Truett, led by trained instructors. ***Some activities are limited by age.***

ARCHERY

Learn how to safely handle our Genesis compound bows. This is an incredibly satisfying activity for campers of any skill level as improvement often happens quickly and is easily visible.

GA GA BALL

Also known as Octoball, this game has swept across the nation at schools and camps over the past decade. It’s a mixture between four square and dodgeball played inside a three foot tall walled octagon. May the best camper win!

AIR RIFLES

Gun safety is heavily emphasized as campers learn target shooting with equipment well suited to their ages. Younger campers will use BB guns while teens get their hands on pellet rifles.

ZIPLINE

One of our most popular activities! We have two parallel ziplines at 300′ long, and campers get to enjoy every foot of that as they fly through the air.

TOMAHAWK THROWING

A new activity for teens for 2020. Few things at camp are more satisfying than sticking a tomahawk in our pine log targets.

WATER ACTIVITIES

Summer is the perfect time to have fun with water! There will be nearly daily opportunities to splash and play. We have an excellent swimming pool, slip-n-slide, and many of our field games may involve water activities as well.

KAYAKING

Kayakers will learn the proper techniques and safety practices through fun and challenging games that encourage individual skill development.

BIKING

We have over a dozen mountain bikes that allows us to take interested teens to nearby Jackrabbit Mountain, a perfect place for beginners to experience this adrenaline inducing activity for the first time. Experienced mountain bikers will get a chance to show off their skills as well.
