God has blessed us with a great team of workers and volunteers. Here are some of the faces you’ll grow familiar with and how to contact them!

 Kenny Adcock

(Director)

and Beth Adcock

About Kenny & Beth

Kenny and Beth have been in full-time ministry since 1998 when Kenny accepted the call to Starnes Cove Baptist Church as an Associate Pastor, and began his seminary work at The Southern Seminary of Louisville. They have served at two churches before entering into full-time camp ministry 18 years ago. Kenny and Beth have been able to minister both domestically and internationally but love to call Western North Carolina “Home”. They have three wonderful children.

Michael Allen

(Facilities & Maintenance Manager)

and Lori Allen

About Michael & Lori

The Lord has been gracious to gift Michael as a pastor, teacher, school bus driver, and maintenance manager. He is able to use many of these gifts in the Hayesville community and on campus at Truett. Michael and Lori along with their two teens, Grace & Billy, joined the staff at Truett in the summer of 2017. They are thankful that the Lord has preserved Truett Camp “for such a time as this” and love to visit and share with the many guests each year. Michael and Lori enjoy watching their teens play Appalachian music and team sports, and act in Community Theater. In the off- season the Allen family enjoy RVing and spending time with family and friends.

Matt Brubaker

(Summer Camp & Special Programs Coordinator)

and Julie Brubaker

About Matt & Julie

Matt and his family joined the Truett team in January 2019. As Summer Camp & Special Programs Coordinator he greatly planning and implementing an exciting slate of activities and programs. But more importantly he enjoys seeing people of all ages grow closer to God. And that is not limited to guests alone. Serving on camp staff has been a huge part of his spiritual development. And he enjoys offering the same experience for the interns and summer staff.

Matt and Julie have been married since 2012. She is a gifted worship leader, lifeguard, and is ridiculously good at puzzles. She worked at a camp in Florida where she met Matt. She loves living in the mountains of North Carolina. She helps out at the camp occasionally but devotes most of her time and energy to the upbringing of Matt and Julie’s three beautiful daughters, Emily, Lucy , and Mabel.

Emily, Lucy, and Mabel love camp life. Emily (6) is very artistic and is particularly excited when scrapbooking groups come to the camp. She enjoys helping her daddy lock up camp after groups leave. Lucy (4) is the most outgoing of the bunch and loves playgrounds and stuffed animals. Mabel (2) loves to join her sisters in their fun, pretend to be a puppy or cat, and books. All three girls love riding their bikes, the pool, and the zipline at camp, even if they were a little scared of it at first. And if you ask nicely, the girls will be happy to sign a prayer to bless the meals at the camp.

-Psalm 119:88-

“Revive me according to Your loving kindness, so that I may keep the testimonies of Your mouth. “
