About Us
Truett Conference Center & Camp provides opportunities year round for groups and individuals to enjoy recreation and grow closer to each other and God. Camp has nearly 90 acres on the edge of Hayesville in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We are confident we can provide a great alternative for your child on days they are not attending school in person. Kids need outdoor play, supervision, and spiritual encouragement during these trying times.
Why it’s Better at Camp
- Our staff are pros at keeping kids active, learning, and having fun.
- Camp is conveniently located, has excellent WI-FI, and facilities conducive to a good learning environment with adequate space for social distancing.
Bible Studies and Christian learning will give youth hope among the trials of 2020.
- In-person interaction with other students and adults.

Program Guidelines
Study Time
There will be blocks of study time for students to advance their own learning. Truett staff or volunteers will supervise them, but it’s up to the students to know of any required virtual school work.
Experiential Learning
Truett will provide experiential, hands-on learning opportunities for the students with educational experiments, outdoor learning, and real-world observation.
Recreation
Physical exercise, play, and outdoor adventure is more than fun. They are also key components to enriching a child’s life for better fitness and mental health. No one does it better than camp.
Bible Study
Age appropriate Bible lessons will be offered for students led by our staff and volunteers. This a great opportunity to find hope and encouragement.

Will lunch be provided?
Yes! We are able to provide school lunches. We will also provide one mid-afternoon snack for no extra charge. Students are welcome to bring additional snacks.
What COVID-19 precautions will the camp take?
Masks and social distancing will be utilized indoors except when eating or drinking. When playing outdoors, especially during vigorous activities, masks will not be required. Opportunities to wash and/or sanitize will be abundant. Each morning students will have their temperature checked before entering the building.
What should a student bring with them?
Their school work, chrome book, headphones/earbuds, reading material, water bottle, snacks, Bible, and adequate clothing for both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather.
Will my student be tutored?
The staff and volunteers at Truett are not a replacement for their school teachers or you as a parent. We will help when and if able to do so, but we are not trained in the systems the school uses.
