Medical Volunteers serve on a week-by-week basis. Most camps run Monday to Friday. The season available for camp nurses runs from mid-June through the first week of August.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES?

Camp Nurses will provide first aid care for campers and staff, overseeing the administration of medications to campers and staff, coordinating visits to a physician when needed, monitoring health and cleanliness standards, organizing any medical records and reports. You will also treat minor injuries/illness under MD Standing Orders and advise camp leadership in medical situations  and work with the summer camp director and various staff to help provide adequate physical health conditions for all.

 

DO I NEED TO WEAR SCRUBS?

Scrubs are not needed at all! Just comfortable camp clothes and footwear!

WHERE WILL I SLEEP AT CAMP?

Camp Nurses will stay in hotel style accommodations with internet, private bathrooms, a nearby fridge, and an attached area to relax in. During the week you will have your own golf cart to attend the needs of the campers and enjoy our property.  

WHERE DO I EAT AT CAMP?

All medical staff eats with the campers and camp staff in the dining hall.  If you have very specific dietary needs or restrictions, you may bring your own foods/snacks and will have access to refrigerators and microwaves as needed. 

IS THERE CELL SERVICE AND INTERNET?

Yes! We have cell service and internet access throughout camp. There is also internet service in the Nurse’s area as well!
