SURELY REVIVAL DELAYS BECAUSE PRAYER DECAY
“What an unforgettable experience at Truett Camp during the NC Baptist Prayer Summit! God used a powerful prayer testimony given by Rev. Fred Lunsford to radically change my prayer life. God gripped my heart that day and I haven’t been the same since. I can’t wait until the next Prayer Summit!”
“Say to the wind, thus saith the Lord God, come from the four winds, o breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”
The following gentlemen helped us have a terrific event! Each shared from God’s Word encouraging messages about the power of prayer.
Pastor, First Baptist Church
Mel Blackaby is the Sr. Pastor of First Baptist Jonesboro. He has strong convictions God’s great salvation is intensely personal, but it was never meant to be private. That is why he challenges every believer to live out his or her faith within the family of God and before a watching world.
Prayer and a serious study of God’s Word are two points of emphasis he has for his church. We are excited for him to share those same points with us during the Prayer Summit.
President, Fruitland Baptist Bible College,
David Horton has served as president of Fruitland Baptist Bible College since June 1, 2009. David is passionate about the expositional preaching of God’s Word, mentoring students and leading Fruitland to achieve its God ordained mission.
Former pastor and director of missions, Marble, N.C.
Fred Lunsford continues to serve the Lord even at age 94. Fred is the former pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Ga., Little Brasstown Baptist Church, Vengeance Creek Baptist Church and Robbinsville First Baptist Church. He was director of missions for Truett Baptist Association for 26 years and received the Director of Missions of the Year honor from the Southern Baptist Convention in 1987.
More recently, the North Carolina Baptist State Convention gave him a N.C. Baptist Heritage Award in 2018. Involved with the Baptist Children’s Homes of N.C., Fred helped establish Broyhill and Truett Homes in Western N.C. and subsequently received a Distinguished Service Award.
