Check-in is Sunday from 3:00-5:00 PM. Camp will end by mid-morning on Wednesday.

No need! Parents can drop off their children or a children’s ministry leader can bring them all from one church. Either way, our staff will provide care for the duration of the camp.

Church ministry leaders can elect to stay on property and participate without the burden of needing to function as a chaperone.

All staff and volunteers undergo a background check. During staff training, counselors are trained in basic first aid and situational awareness to prevent incidents. The camp has volunteer medical professionals who manage medication and camper wellness.  Staff are trained to facilitate recreation. Any water activities are supervised by American Red Cross certified lifeguards. Also, the camp is inspected on an annual basis. Since 2020 Truett has received a 100 health and safety rating from the NC Department of Health & Safety.

Campers should bring their own bedding (twin-sized bunks), toiletries, clothes, and Bible.

If they have any medication, whether over the counter or prescription, they must turn those in at check-in in a 1-gallon Ziploc bag with the camper’s name clearly labeled.

We highly recommend bringing two pairs of shoes, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and clothes that are suitable for work projects (which could include painting, landscaping, etc.).

For the white water rafting trip we recommend sandals with a heel strap, swimwear, a towel, and a small bag with a change of clothes.

We love ministering to as many campers as possible. We do have limits on our capabilities though. Our staff are not specifically trained to be caretakers. The steep terrain on the camp property can also be difficult to navigate. If a child is interested in attending camp, who may require special accommodations, please contact us before registration. We encourage parents to have a conversation with the Summer Camp Coordinator to see if the individual can have a positive experience.
